Description
Formaldehyde solution used for disinfecting mushroom growing rooms, equipment, and substrates. Diluted (1–2% solution) and applied as a spray or fumigant, it kills molds, bacteria, and pests. Its use is limited due to toxicity and potential carcinogenicity; requires ventilation, protective gear (respirators, gloves), and caution to avoid residue on mushrooms. Less common in oyster mushrooms due to low mold risk.
